Karen Yost is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Prestera Center for Mental Health Services, Inc. Ms. Yost holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Kentucky as well as a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Rehabilitation from Marshall University. Her experience is extensive and includes working at many local behavioral health care organizations, including, River Park Hospital, Marshall University (adjunct professor), Shawnee Hills, Barboursville School, Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Logan-Mingo Area Mental Health.
Ms. Yost holds multiple credentials including Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Licensed Professional Supervisor, forensic Master Addictions Counselor, Certified School Counselor in WV for grades K-12, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist, Certified Domestic Violence Counselor and is certified as a disaster relief worker with the American Red Cross. She is the state’s trainer on trauma informed care and an expert trainer in many other areas. She is the past president of First Choice Health Systems/First Choice Systems and serves on many other statewide expert panels, associations and boards.
